SAFETY

It is the policy of Atkins & Stang, Inc. to provide a safe and healthy work environment and to abide by all federal, state, and local regulations as they pertain to our operations. The safety of Atkins & Stangs’ employees, our customers and others who work around us are a core value of our company. We acknowledge the responsibility we have to protect our most important assets by providing the necessary tools, training and methods to work safely and productively every day.

To make our approach to safety effective and uniform throughout the organization, Atkins & Stang, Inc. has adopted a Workplace Safety Program that begins at the top with management’s full commitment to reducing personal injury and property damage.  Safety within the electrical construction industry is essential not only to our employee’s well being but also for keeping project costs lower.

Our company Safety Director implements, directs and coordinates the safety operations of Atkins & Stang, Inc.  The Safety Director has a long list of responsibilities that are designed to assure compliance and provide a uniform direction of accepted safety practices.

Our Superintendents and Foremen are responsible for the implementation and enforcement of the Workplace Safety Program at the jobsites.  Every week on every jobsite we have a toolbox meeting to place emphasis on accident prevention and discuss jobsite hazards.  These meetings provide a forum where employees are reminded that safety is an integral part of the operations of Atkins & Stang.  With this in mind each employee is encouraged to observe all safety rules and regulations and keep the workplace a healthy environment.

Our planning and execution of the Workplace Safety Program delivers a more productive jobsite with less time lost due to injuries and a higher morale for all employees.  Additional cost savings are realized through reduced insurance premiums and bond rates which are then passed on to our customers.

Atkins & Stang, Inc. would appreciate the opportunity of putting our commitment to safety to work at your next project or jobsite.
